Welcome To Subterranean Records
As some of you may know, after 17+ years of doing business in New York City we were forced to close our retail shop on February 1st, 2008. Due to insane increases in rents in our area we decided not to re-open but rather sell the remaining stock from our shop here on eBay's pages. There will be some exceptionally rare items from both our shop and my own personal collection.
Item: Rare original 1981 indi single of "Radio Free Europe" b/w "Sitting Still" on the Hib-Tone label. This is their first single which received rave reviews, especially in the Village Voice here in NYC where the quickly skyrocketed to fame. They were selling out Maxwell's in Hoboken before "Chronic Town" came out just on the strength of this single. The vinyl and labels are beautiful as is the picture sleeve which has some minor shelf wear. There's no writing or tears. I haven't seen many like this in a while. As some of you know the B-side "Sitting Still" has never been re-released officially and is of course a different version to the "Murmur" LP version.
Payment: We accept Paypal, checks and money orders as well as bank transfers. We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any buyer we feel might be a risk. International Paypal buyers must have a feedback rating of 25 or more, all of which must be positive.
Shipping: All US buyers will be provided with a tracking number. Insurance is optional, though we do recommend it as we take no responsibility for lost or damaged items. All International buyers will be required to add $1.10 for a Certificate of Mailing
