Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "WANTED (For More Fine Country Music" - by Don Reno and Red Smiley and The Gang on the King Record label (718), in beautiful original "STEREO" sound, issued in 1961.
CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket has edge, corner, ring, age and rub wear; top and bottom seams are partly split; back cover bears original price sticker from "AFEX" as well as the images of 15 more KING classic albums - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl is beautiful with one or two very light paper scuffs; plays flawlessly - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: This classic bluegrass record is in great condition and plays perfectly; it absolutely is the King original, and original STEREO to boot; both vinyl and jacket are made from high quality stock, but it's the almost unbelievable sound of Reno and Smiley that will either thrill ya or kill ya (or maybe both); if you enjoy music that comes from the classic side of bluegrass music history, then please don't miss this one - a great record and a very rare one, too.
TRACKS:
A1 Please Remember That I Love You A2 Tennessee Stomp A3 Born To Lose A4 The Bells Of Saint Mary's A5 When It's Time For The Whippoorwill To Sing A6 Steel Guitar Rag B1 Love Please Come Home B2 Pick & Hold B3 San Antonio Rose B4 Down On The Farm B5 Unfaithful One B6 Bringin' In The Georgia Mail
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
