Description

RESPIGHI Church Windows Keith Clark Conducting The Pacific Symphony (NM/NM) Vinyl LP
Record label/brand: Reference Recording RR-15 upc/mpn: None year: 1984
Pristine copy of this audiophile, 45 RPM classic. This is a Professor Johnson recording. Partially funded by TAS (The Absolute Sound) and mastered by Mike Reese at The Mastering Lab.
This grandiose work, scored for full symphony orchestra, pipe organ and tam-tam, has at last been given its due in this celebrated recording. Features violinist Ruggiero Ricci in Poema Autunnale.
Sleeve is in NM (near mint) condition. Looks like it was just removed from wrap. As new. Vinyl is in NM condition. Beautiful mirror finish and plays beautifully.
Songs:
Side 1 1. Church Windows - Vetrate de Chiesa: La Fuga in Egitto   2. Church Windows - Vetrate de Chiesa: S. Michele Arcangelo
Side 2 3. Church Windows - Vetrate de Chiesa: Il Mattutino di Santa Chiara   4. Church Windows - Vetrate de Chiesa: S. Gregorio Magno   5. Poema Autunnale: Autumn Poem
Review: "The best symphonic recording I have heard, bar none...a stupendous recording of a probably-definitive performance." ~ J. Gordon Holt, Stereophile
A truly stunning recording of a wonderful performance of my favorite work by this composer. Unlike his more showy compositions, the emotions conveyed by this work flow quite smoothly. The Four Symphonic Impressions contain passages of amazing power which build upon a tranquil foundation. The fourth piece, in particular, rises from a calm opening into an unforgettable final climax. Reference Recordings has managed to capture the wide dynamic range of these impressions and package them on a disk that will test the limits of any stereo system. ~ Amazon
