Description
Vanguard Everyman SRV-73008, “Rev. Gary Davis at Newport” from 1968. The vinyl plays at VG+ with light background sound on some tracks. The jacket has light seamwear on the bottom seam and spine; there is light corner wear at the bottom; the jacket is slightly age-toned but clean with no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “Samson & Delilah”, “I Won’t be Back No More”, “Buck Dance”, “Twelve Sticks”< “Death Don’t Have No Mercy”, “You Got To Move”, “Lovin’ Spoonful”, “She Wouldn’t Say Quit”, “I’ve Done All My Singing for My Lord”, “Twelve Gates to the City”, “I Will Do My Last Singing in This Land Somewhere”. RGD alternates his usual religious numbers with some play-party material that harked back to his repertoire from the 1930s. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
