Description
This is the original UK LP by RICHARD AND LINDA THOMPSON, POUR DOWN LIKE SILVER, 1975 Very 1st Press on the ISLAND Palm Tree label ILPS 9348
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- ILPS 9348.A1.GM, Side 2:- ILPS 9348.B1.GM
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- A / 9, Side 2:- A / 8
Additonally in the dead wax run-off area's - Side 1 hand etched is 'PORKY PRIME CUT' and on Side 2 etched is 'PECKO'
Matrix, Stamper codes and additional etches clearly indentify this as a Very 1st Pressing
The original 1975 UK matt finsihed cover is in EX+ condition. The cover maintains all it's original colour. The solid slim spine is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
The vinyl is in EX+++ / MINT- condition, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT-.
AGAIN LIKE MY OTHER RICHARD AND LINDA THOMPSON LP LISTED THE QUALITY OF THIS 1st Pressing is ASTONISHING!, THE STEREO IS SO BRIGHT AND FRESH, PLAYING WITH SUCH CLAIRTY AND DEPTH, YOUR LISTEN TO IT AND JUST SMILE!
The Palm Tree ISLAND label's are in MINT- condition!!!, lovely and clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh white colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear, beautiful labels!
The vinyl is housed in its original 1975 UK custom made thin card ISLAND inner sleeve and in EX+ condition!, a few small areas of mottling, otherwise clean, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
