The only other copy I found of this RARE 45 record was sold for in 2009 for $78 in a lower grade condition than this copy, as the other copy had extreme discoloring.
RARE in any condition and the last one that sold in 2009 was in similar VG condition or slightly less for double the starting price here. - the marks are wispy and superficial, I'd say, probably from paper scuffs or contacts with other 45's and such through the decades. The condition is probably VG or around there with minor wispy hairlines not feelers per se, and many of them. I look at them under strong light and some times with a magnifying glass so I can see almost anything up close. NICE RARE piece of musical history.
Richard Berry (April 11, 1935 – January 23, 1997) was an African-American singer, songwriter and musician, who performed with many Los Angeles doo-wop and close harmony groups in the 1950s, including The Flairs and The Robins.
He is best known as the composer and original performer of the rock standard "Louie Louie". The song went on to be a hit for The Kingsmen, becoming one of the most recorded songs of all time; however, Berry received little financial benefit for writing it until the 1980s, having signed away his rights to the song in 1959. In that same year, he wrote & released "Have Love, Will Travel", which has been covered by many artists.

Beware of sellers that post 1 or 2 photos only. This is a red flag and suggests 2 things: #1) the seller is trying to hide the real condition of the item by limiting photographic details. They also will further camouflage their item’s condition by not offering zoom features. #2) Many sellers limit their photos because they are not only trying to camouflage their item’s condition, but because they are Lazy. A lazy seller won’t go the extra mile in other aspects of his sale, exhibited in shoddy packaging and they will drag their feet in shipping item out. Just as deceitful and lazy are the many sellers that provide only STOCK photos (not of actual item you will receive) tricking the bidder in thinking they are getting the impressive item pictured in the stock photo.
