Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE 7 inch VINYL single from the 60's by Ricky Wayne with the Fabulous Flee-Rakkers called "Chicka'roo".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1960 on the Triumph label (RGM 1009). It has "Chicka'roo" on the A side with "Don't Pick On Me" on the B side.
The matrix numbers are:- RGM 1009 A-1 (side 1) and RGM 1009 B-1 (side 2).
The Triumph Record Company was set up in 1960 partly by Joe Meek, but it lasted for less than one year. This is one of several records released during that time and is highly collectable due to the involvement of Joe Meek, who worked on the production of the records.
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are some light surface marks noticeable when tilted towards the light, but nothing serious and they do not affect the playing. I have played both sides and they play fine and sound great.
There is a Mecolico (collection of royalties) stamp on the A side label. The B side label is clean and free from any writing. The record's original centre is missing and an adaptor will be supplied.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within a new plain white sleeve in a NEW condition.
Overall both sides of this record are great examples of early 60's Beat and with the Joe Meek connection, it is bound to be of interest to collectors.
