RINGO STARR " SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY" ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON APPLE PCS 7101
Sentimental Journey is the debut studio album by former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, released in 1970, as the band was splintering apart. Although Starr was the third member of the group to issue solo work (after George Harrison and John Lennon), Sentimental Journey is notable for being the first non-avant-garde studio album by a member of the band, in light of the experimental, soundtrack or live releases his aforementioned band mates had already released. Paul McCartney's debut, McCartney, would follow three weeks after Sentimental Journey's release. Recording of the album was completed in early March 1970, with Sentimental Journey being rushed out a few weeks later to avoid clashing in the shops with the Beatles' impending final album Let It Be in May.
CONDITION - PLEASE READ
The Vinyl is "VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT" have examined both records under direct light and can only just see some very MINOR hairline scratches.
The Labels are "EXCELLENT" looks almost new and very presentable. Just a very small amount of spindle wear.
The Outer Sleeve is "VERY GOOD" has ringwear on both sides with creasing and scuffing mostly towards the edges of the sleeve. There is ageing discolouration of a brownish colour on the lighter areas of the sleeve with some blotches. (See photos). Is still firm with no writing or tears.
The Spine is "VERY GOOD" is discoloured with scuffing and some creasing, is fully readable.
The Inner Sleeve is "EXCELLENT " has some minor ringwear and is faintly discoloured. No tears or writing.
All has been graded with accordance with the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide See below -

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
