Original Italian pressing on PRIMA label (MH 2011), from 1973. If you have seen this Library on Ebay before and never bid, then you might have made a big mistake. The few copies in circulation over the last couple of years (with original sleeve artwork) have basically now dried up. A stunning, mystical lounge session with Japanese influences featuring crack studio session men led by Rino De Filippi on sitar (and Koto or something similar). East meets West with arcane oriental instrumentation... bamboo flute / chinese bells / gongs and percussion riding the more contemporary sound of the electric guitar / fender bass / marimba / bass flute / drums and vibraphone. Our soundclip opens with the killer Geisha girl hip hop beats / koto funk groove of ORIENTE CONTEMPLATIVO (with endless, Dusty Fingers style drum patterns :) followed by the psychedelic funky groove of CITTA' ORIENTALE and other important themes including the spaced-out ORIENTE MAGICO and trippy indo jazz fusion of NIGHT IN ORIENTE / the crazy sitar mantras of DANZA ORIENTALE / TRASPARENZA ORIENTALE / the meditative piano and treated spinette of REGIONE DEPRESSA and the Piero Umiliani - Gino Marinacci - Soundworkshop style theme, TEMPIO DEI BONZI. The whole Lp is sublime, very hypnotic with a hallucinogenic undercurrent. Please note that all copies have a pressing burn / shadow that causes background hiss throughout NIGHT IN ORIENTE theme (the 1st track of Side A and 4th track you can hear on our soundclip). Like the Black Fire - Cream Library, all copies have this factory defect. Superb music for fashion shows and great for DJs. Amazing artwork sleeve too. Rare Library Lp!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some light scuffs and hairlines. Light surface noises. Some soft pops in places too but most probably due to the actual pressing. Please note: there is a pressing burn / shadow that causes background hiss throughout 'Night In Oriente' theme (the 1st track of Side A and 4th track you can hear on our soundclip). All copies have this factory defect. The thin laminated sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with minimal light corner wear in places. Dirt marks and a couple of small stains to back sleeve and some rub marks from storage to front sleeve. Perfect spine. Sharp edges etc. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label. Rare Library Lp!!!
