** RIST ROCKET “Self Titled” SEALED ORIG 1978 Rare Hard Rock LP K2506 SEALED MINT! No damage to cover. Record is presumed Mint as it has never been removed from shrink, but i cannot open to guarantee anything so there are no returns on sealed records once opened.
RIST ROCKET were a hard rock band that was formed in the state of Fresno, California. The band managed to record and release their first and last record released on a small record label called Sun West Records. From what i know it this record was a private release, not realy sure if this record was released in other states but this was a long forgotten lp and a mega-rare lp as well. Rist Rocket hail from southern California, but otherwise have a completely fuzzy backstory. The band issued its self-titled debut in 1978 on Sun West Records. Despite the cheesy artwork, Rist Rocket have been praised by obscurity hounds for many years. "Rist Rocket" is a fantastic hard rock/ aor effort with great harmonies, solid performances and clear production though the quality of the material. The band does manage to evoke Boston on some of the better tracks here. Though the vocals and production are missing the flash and fire that is often associated with AOR music, the songwriting is more than enough to state the band's musical viewpoint
