dbx with vinyl phonograph records
dbx was used on vinyl records, which were known as dbx discs. While the earliest release is from 1971, their numbers peaked between 1977 until around 1982. Billboard noted in August 1981 that the total number of releases with dbx encoding was expected to approach 200 albums. When employed on LPs, the dbx Type-II system reduced the audibility of dust and scratches, reducing them to tiny pops and clicks (if they were audible at all) and also completely eliminated record surface noise. dbx encoded LPs had, in theory, a dynamic range of up to 120 dB. In addition, dbx LPs were produced from only the original master tapes, with no copies being used, and pressed only on heavy, virgin vinyl. Most were released in limited quantities with premium pricing.

I have been shipping Internationally for over 10 years and do not agree with the fees and customs charges being charged by eBay. I will ship your item DIRECT to you, not to a mailing centre. I will not charge customs charges for your country. If your customs officers decide to charge you import fees then you will be responsible for those. I use a private address to send the item from, not a company / business address, so hopefully you will not incur customs fees - but it is a possibility.

I am in the process of listing my records, cassettes, CDs, music videos and books purchased in over 40 years of collecting. This will include loads of promotional material and limited editions. I have a full time job and this is a hobby so it will take forever to list everything I have. If you see an item by a particular group / artist that you like, chances are I will have other items by them. Keep checking back or use the contact seller option if there are any particular items that you are looking for and would like me to list sooner rather than later.
I have thousands of records ( 7" , 12" singles and albums) and thousands more CDs (singles and albums). I have hundreds of cassettes but will probably not list many unless they are requested. A lot of the music videos are VHS promo copies I obtained from a shop that used to sell MTV cast offs so are genuine record company promos sent to TV stations to plug their release.
