Description
This is an auction for a very rare EP, Ritchie Valens, Ritchie Valens.
This was released by London records in 1959 and has catalogue number RE 1232. This is the 1st pressing which did have a tri-centre, there are three connection points that the centre would of connected to. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Condition: The sleeve comes in tatty condition whith plenty of faults, it is actually complete with the tears on the mouth rear having the torn pieces connected but folding under. This sleeve can only be graded at Fair. Please check the pictures on supersize for clarifiacation.
Both labels are clean and near new, Under closer examination a tiny what looks like pencil mark can be seen under the word'England' on side 2 and a tiny scuff mark can be seen at 6 o'clock on side 1. Again please check the pictures.
The vinyl retains its near new shine. Under closer examination a few small scratches can be seen, this could also do with a clean.
This record has been play tested.
I am pleased to report this plays amazingly well. A touch of very quiet feckling can be heard in a couple of places only. There is a quiet tick for a few rotations of track two on side 2. Otherwise it sounds fantastic with no pops or ticking or any kind of surface noise caused through scratches or dirt heard for most of this record. This has not been heavily played and shows no sign of wear to the vinyl. The breaks in between records is quiet, there is very little lessening in sound quality. The music itself can be heard fine through out, with no distortion, fading or dragging and certainly at no time is quieter than any knid of surface noise.
This record is given a grading of VG to VG+, I have down graded this because it has surface marks which in one place does give a tick, all be it for a few rotations. The rest of this record plays closer to near mint with there being very little lessening in sound quality.
