RLS 721 Shostakovich Plays Shostakovich Dimitri Shostakovich Rostropovich Kogan. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter.

This is a classic and rare set from 1976 and features the composer performing his own works: Piano Concerto No 2 recorded live with the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Gauk in November 1957. Concertino for two pianos with his son Maxim. From Jewish Folk Poetry, with the soloists who premiered the work with the composer in 1955. The Piano Quintet with the Beethoven Quartet, all of whom premiered the work in November 1940. The Cello Sonata, with the great Mstislav Rostropovich. Preludes and Fugues 5, 23, 3, 16, 6, 7, 20 and 2 from Op. 87. Preludes for Violin and Piano, arranged by Tsyganov from Op. 34: 23 preludes for piano, with the great Leonid Kogan, Nos. 10, 15, 16 and 24.

Condition of box and LPs is VG+ and each LP is in the original EMI protective sleeve.

A classic issue which for vinyl/audio lovers is a superb investment.
