Description
RL-SS HOT MIX 1969 LED ZEPPELIN II SD8236 VG+/EX- vinyl, RL/Robert Ludwig etching and SS/LH etching **RARE**. One sided RL. Columbia Terra Haute (CTH) pressing plant.
The FAMOUS and very hard to find one-sided RL hot mix. The deadwax on the hot side is hand-etched RL / SS (Robert Ludwig - Sterling Sound), matrix (Side A) ST - A - 691871 -1A - TI (side B) ST-A-691672-D -B7 -OT. The reverse side is SS and LH (Lee Hulko) initials from the tamer recut. Full runout etchings are shown in the photos for verification.
The 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y. label text with 1969 copyright confirms this as an 1969 original first-press era copy (See Photo).
**Condition is VG+/ EX- for playback, gatefold jacket and sleeve. However, there is 2 light scratches on the vinyl but they DON’T affect playback and are just visual. Visually the vinyl itself is VG but definitely plays EX- (see photos).
The vinyl has been tested on a technics SL-D3 with the Stanton 681EEE stylus. It has been fully played 3 times with no skips and very very light crackle at quiet parts in songs.
This album is truly on a different level of audio quality. The loud, punchy, dynamic, and explosive sound of the RL cut truly makes it feel like Led Zeppelin is in the room with you.
Please DM with any questions at all. Happy to provide more photos and video.
