Description
For sale ist an original 1961 copy of ROBERT JOHNSON "King Of The Delta Blues Singer" on Columbia Records# CL-1654 Mono "6 EYE". This stunning looking and sounding record with Johnsons classic folk Blues recordings was transferred from the original 78 tours and this was the first time, these records were widely available. "King Of The Delta Blues Singers" was a very influential record and inspired many white musicians like Eric Clapton. This particular copy came from a well assorted Jazz and Blues collection. The Cover is in really nice M- condition, there is a number on the top right corner, but otherwise this is really well preserved for it's 50 years, no yellowing etc. (see pics). The record also plays fine, it has some superficial signs of having been played, maybe these would go away with professional cleaning. Anyway I would grade this at VG++, the labels are perfect too. The original inner sleeve is also still around, though a bit creased, but I will include to keep this rare item as original as possible.
