ROBIN LENT - SCARECROW'S JOURNEY
A sparingly played UK 1971 1st press copy of this psych/rock/folk gem on the sought after Nepentha label

Nice thick, weighty and completely flat gleaming vinyl in excellent (EX) condition - viewed closely under a bright light just a few extremely faint surface only paper scuff marks come into view but all are non-obvious, purely superficial, and do little to diminish the excellent STEREO audio quality. Clearly this record has been sparingly played. Excellent plus (EX+) condition labels - unmarked except for a few small and very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. The non-laminated outer gatefold sleeve is in very good (VG) condition - firm edges and nice colouration still, but there are some obvious blemishes - notably four small areas (x3 on the front and x1 on the reverse side) where scuff marks/abrasions have occurred and subsequently coloured in, obvious scuffing along most of the top and bottom edges with some sporadic (but clearly noticeable) scuffing on the spine, a few 1-2cm very light horizontal crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on both sides, and a hand written name and dedication on the inside of the gatefold - I have tried to clearly show these blemishes in my photos. The quality of the STEREO sound is excellent (EX) with only two light clicks on the final track on side 1 (close inspection revealed no obvious cause) and minimal background crackle - just some very mild intermittent background crackle at the very beginning of side 1 and during a couple of the intermissions (I am sure that a proper clean would cure this). Overall excellent tone and clarity with every track a great listen. Comes complete with original poly-lined plain white inner sleeve with no splits or tears, just a little light staining in two areas but remaining fully functional.
A nice copy of this long deleted psych gem with the gleaming, sparingly played vinyl and excellent audio quality being the highlights. POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
