Description

ROCK con LOS SONAMBULOS
(Mexico/ U.S.A. Discos Musart D-611 mono) 1960

EX /VG+
(rec/cvr) Glossy LP with only a few, light marks. "SAM" written on both A- and B-side labels.
The sleeve has the name "SAMMY" written across the front, and there's a tear on lower back cover (see pics). Minor damage to spine; top + bottom seams very solid. There is very little ring wear, dents or splits.

Sure there's a few flaws, but overall it looks great--flat stiff cover with solid corners & edges, and a bright, vividly-colored image. Unusually fine condition for a rock & roll discos (records) from South of the Border!

Rock'n'Roll long-player with a great selection of American cover tunes (incl. Johnny Burnette!) played from the heart with wild enthusiasm. Total lo-fi recording adds perfect atmosphere. (Unfortunately "lo-fi" also describes the pressing, so even a nice clean copy like this got hiss.)
If nothing else, I'd highly reccommend hearing the band's "theme bop" on Side 2 and
also what they do to Santo & Johnny's "Sleepwalk."

One of the best from down there! Click on links below to hear sound samples!!

LADO 1:  Grandes Bolas de Fuego (Great Balls of Fire)
Francisco Y Juanita (Frankie & Johnny)
Tren Solitario (Lonesome Train)
Adios A Jamaica (Jamaica Farewell)
Liana
Rock del Angelito

LADO 2:   La Fiesta Esta de Ambiente
Viento Cruel (Cruel Wind?)
Carrera Con el Diablo (Race With the Devil)
--->   Bop de los Sonambulos
Ese Sera el Dia (That'll Be the Day)
--->   Sonambulo (Sleepwalk)
