good rockin' tonight / i dont care if the sun dont shine...this is an original 1954 pressing....dead wax numbers..u-131- 45 then a 72, ...flip is...u-130-45 then a 72...these are definitely original sun etchings.....both sides of the labels have pushmarks which i posted scans of.....the labels have no writing or tears on either side, there is hardly any wear at all (please see all the scans below) on either side label...now the vinyl...ive been told that many early sun records will normally have lots of background and the extent of it sometimes depends on which pressing plant it was pressed at...i had to conclude this was pressed at one of the "noisy" pressing plants! lol, but i was also told that if these noisy pressings were played with a 78 stylus (needle) that it would help fill the wide grooves that were pressed, and help the playing sound a lot. so on the first 2 sound clips below i used a 78 stylus that interchanged with my numark turntable's cartridge and less than 2 grams...then below that i changed it back to the regular stylus used for 33 and 45 rpm records....on visually grading this record, there is very little amount of only light scratches/scuffs and would usually call it about vg+ as it also has some shine and actually looks to me, very clean. that aside, im just going to grade it visually as a very strong vg, and close to vg+. the labels are super and i'd call them vg++ condition . ...hear both below ....PLEASE GIVE IT A SPIN!
