Description

This is an ultra rare Mint+ 1978 Australian promo copy of Sexto Rodriguez’s debut album Cold Fact catalogue number BGM 002.

The original version of this album, recorded by Rodriguez in Detroit in 1970, was released by Sussex Records.

In 1978 CBS Records Australia signed a licensing deal with Blue Goose Music in Melbourne and released this promo version of Cold Fact.  

This album has been in my collection since 1978, stored in a plastic protective cover and has never been played, so the label has no spindle marks and the vinyl is pristine. 

There is a very feint ring mark on the back cover due to compression from the albums either side. The back cover also features the CBS gold stamp that reads ‘This record is manufactured for the purpose of promotion only. It remains the property of CBS Records Australia Limited and is not for sale.'
Each label also has the black ink 'Promotion Only Not For Sale' stamp

The LP was only taken out of its sleeve for the first time today to be photographed.
