(Limited 2-LP gatefold sleeve edition) This is the soundtrack to the 2012 documentary, Searching For Sugar Man, a film about hope, inspiration and the resonating power of music.

In the late '60s, two celebrated producers who were struck by his soulful melodies and prophetic lyrics discovered a musician in a Detroit bar. They recorded an album that they believed was going to secure his reputation as one of the greatest recording artists of his generation. In fact, the album bombed and the singer disappeared into obscurity amid rumors of a gruesome on-stage suicide. But a bootleg recording found its way into apartheid South Africa and, over the next two decades, it became a phenomenon. Two South African fans then set out to find out what really happened to their hero. Their investigation led them to a story more extraordinary than any of the existing myths about the artist known as Rodriguez.

This soundtrack consists of a selection of songs featured in the film which were originally found on Rodriguez's records Cold Fact and Coming From Reality.

We strongly recommend that you check your DVD player's Region code before purchasing as we are unable to refund purchases for incompatibility. Your DVD instructions manual should include the Region information for your DVD player. Alternatively if you email us your DVD player make & model, we will endeavour to find out for you.    

 

Payment is required within 7 days of purchase. If for any reason you are unable to pay within 7 days, please contact us prior to bidding/buying. We are flexible with our payment terms for people who contact us first.    We accept the following payment methods:  PAYPAL, BANK DEPOSIT, MONEY ORDER & CASH ON PICKUP.

All items are shipped through Australia Post. 

For domestic deliveries within Australia we offer Regular, Express & Registered services.  We strongly recommend Express or Registered post as they can be tracked online through the Australia Post tracking website. 

International deliveries are sent through Australia Post Regular Airmail.  This service does not include a tracking number.  For security and peace of mind, we strongly recommend that our international customers register their orders.  For a fee of $8.50, the package is insured and also trackable. 

We offer combined shipping on multiple orders.  If you purchase several items from our store, please request a combined invoice prior to making payment.
