Roger Rodier's only album was released on Columbia in 1972 - this is the equally rare second issue on Breeder Records. 'Upon Velveatur' was very much in line with the folk-rock-oriented singer/songwriter trends of the era. He has been compared favourably with Nick Drake i.e. his gentle breathy vocals, subdued melancholy, and combination of predominantly acoustic guitars with subtle strings and female backup vocals. This LP has now become highly collectable for Prog/Psych/Folk fans.

Cover: Unlaminated non-gatefold cover. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Near Mint.

 

Vinyl: Excellent+. Only played a couple of times.

Gradings.......

 

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
