Description
Roland TR 808 Drum machine with original box and manual.
As used on too many records to mention, the most successful drum machine of all time, presented here in very good condition. 240 volt operation. UK Plug. Perfect working order, as far as I can tell. All the outputs work fine, the knobs are crackle free, the buttons all work fine with no stickiness or double-triggering.Very good cosmetic condition. Some scratches to the plastic parts on the sides and back. Some sticky residue left from stickers on the bottom and on the back. The fine white marks on the metal parts are mainly dust.
The paper labels under the two buttons that have them have only slightly yellowed with age, not turned completely yellow like on so many of these machines. To me, this indicates the machine has been well looked after in a non-smoking environment. Please see the pictures for details. The cardboard box has some tape on it that wasn't there originally. The manual is in very good condition.
I've owned the machine for around 5 years, and have hardly used it in that time, as I don't do electronic music anymore, so I think it's time this beautiful machine found a new owner.
I've used 808 sample packs before but nothing compares to the real thing, and being able to tweak and tune the sounds in real time to fit in your track is just amazing. Can be run in sync with midi via a kenton box or similar Midi to Din Sync converter.
