JUMPING JACK FLASH promo 45
I've you've worked in radio, you know the thrill of having a truly great new record land on your desk for the first time, a record that you just know is going to be with you for the rest of your life. Such is the case with "Jumpin' Jack Flash."
This promo landed on the desk of some unnamed station in May of 1968. On the topside was the song that was destined to land at #3 on the US charts, on the flip was "Child Of The Moon."
The song would wind up being a transitional single for the Rolling Stones, and everyone figured it would be the lead track for their next album. But then a few months later another single came out ("Street Fighting Man"), and in December when "Beggars Banquet" arrived, it was nowhere to be seen! It would later turn up on their hits package "Through The Past Darkly, Vol. 2'
