Description
Offering is original owner’s “AFTERMATH - the rolling stones – INCLUDING PAINT IT BLACK”, 1ST U.S. London Label Pressing (June 1966), PS 476, 12” LP, 33-1/3 RPM Stereo, blue & silver label, black vinyl record. This is the sixth (6th) Stones’ American studio album recorded in Hollywood (December 1965 & March 1966) during breaks between their international tours. AFTERMATH is considered the Rolling Stones’ first classic album, being the first wholly Jagger-Richards collection, composed entirely of original material by the group. It is regarded as the most artistically formative of the Rolling Stones’ early work.
· Specific descriptions:
a Album Cover / Jacket – CONDITION: NEAR MINT. The original shrink wrapping remains on 99+% of the front cover and back cover, including 100% of the spine. Because of the shrink wrap still being in place, there are no stains, age toning, markings or discoloration on either the front or back covers. There are no seam splits, tears or corner wear. Both front and back covers have retained their original, rich colors.
· Vinyl – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Seldom played, with very light wear, its vinyl playing surfaces are clean and very bright. Both sides have retained a nice gloss, with no scratches. Has few, minimal hairline / non-feelable surface marks. The blue and silver labels are VG+, with no spindle wear, scratches, stains or discoloration.
· Record Sleeve – CONDITION: VG+. This original “London / Parrot / Coliseum” paper inner sleeve is pristine, having retained its rich B&W and orange colors with no fading or discoloration. There are no stains or folds. There is a 1 ½” seam tear located at the mid-point of the sleeve’s bottom and a 3” diagonal corner crease mark in the lower left corner (photos no. 10 & 11).

· Pressing variation with Londo boxed logos on blue labels with silver gray printing.
· On the record label, both words “Side” are in small print. Under “Side” are larger prints of “1” & “2” & being next to “PS476” with same larger print size.
· This Catalog Label Print Stock Number is like the early Mono copies having the London maroon-colored labels.
· Catalog number is “PS 476” on the front and back covers whereas it is “PS476” on the labels.
· “Paint It Black” is spelled with a comma on the front cover (“Including Paint It, Black”).
· Track A1 “Paint It Black” appears as “Paint It, Black” on label but without a comma on the back cover.
· Track B5 is listed as “Goin’ Home” on the record label, whereas it is “Going Home” on the back cover.
· The bottom of the back cover reads: "PS 476 (also available in Mono, LL 3476) PLAY THIS RECORD ONLY ON STEREOPHONIC EQUIPMENT PS 476"

Always stored upright, kept in dry, non-smoking homes. Please review the twenty-four (24) photos to assist in your assessment of the album jacket (in shrink), the “London” inner paper sleeve and the vinyl record.
