The Rolling Stones : Goat's Head Soup
This A2/B3 early pressing of this album is in wonderful condition and visually it is pristine. The gatefold is the cleanest I have ever seen and the inserts also in immaculate condition.

Visual grading
This vinyl has been incredibly well preserved and looks as new it is that good. Under a bright light I cannot detect any hairlines or scratches and it retains a lovely glossy sheen. There is only a minimal amount of spindle wear so has only been sparingly played. It really is a stunning looking vinyl! It would be nigh on impossible to find a cleaner version.
Play grading
S1 plays with superb quality throughout. 'Dancing With Mr D.' has 'high end' audio with no interference and the clarity on every track is first class. For example the quiet intro on '100 Years Ago' has no static etc in the background whatsoever and the ending plays with real power and no distortion. The intro on 'Coming Down Again' again has stunning clarity and the remainder plays with Near Mint quality with only a handful of mega light dust ticks. 'Angie' has a couple of very faint ticks at the start and one louder click about one minute in but apart from that it plays beautifully with no other 'background'.
'Silver Train' has wonderful audio with only a minimal amount of static on the intro. 'Hide Your Love' is very impressive and plays with great clarity once more. A few mega light dust ticks here and there but they are barely audible and not worth mentioning really! I am just 100% complete in my grading. What follows is a stunning version of 'Winter' that has no interference to speak of. The very quiet intro on 'Can You Hear The Music' has no static or clicks etc and thereafter plays extremely well but with a touch of light distortion. The fade is superb and plays as Mint. 'Star Star' ends the album with great sound again and no interference, just a little distortion again. As I often say this is no doubt due to the grooves being pressed closer together in order to 'fit' the track onto the side. The track still plays extremely well.
Gatefold cover
The gatefold is in superb condition with hardly any shelf wear and is easily one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The edges and wide spine are in superb shape with only a minimal amount of rubbing on the bottom edge of the front cover. It is beautifully clean throughout, practically immaculate. The back cover has a very very small amount of spotting towards the bottom but it is so minimal. The opening edge has hardly any handling wear. This is a superb gatefold, one that would be difficult to improve upon.
Inner sleeve & Inserts
This die-cut plain white inner has no splits and very little creasing. Both inserts are superb and only the poster has a little mottling on the reverse side.
The labels
The yellow labels are in near perfect condition with only a small amount of spindle wear.

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
