Description
Here's something we've never seen in 45 years of collecting, nor can find much information about--an original 1965 Jamaican Mono pressing of the Rolling Stones album Out of Our Heads.
This has a standard US cover, undoubtedly exported to Jamaica, but the disc is UK mastered and almost certainly UK pressed, with deep groove labels and stamped matrix numbers: Side One (XARL-6791-2A), Side Two (XARL-6792-1A). The label is black and notes this is part of the "London American Series" with perimeter copy reading in part "Made in Jamaica by Federal Record Mfg. Co. Ltd. for The Decca Record Co. Ltd. Lon.
Sleeve is VG to VG+ with wear around spine and bottom edge, small tear from sticker removal on cover, and ball point pen owner signature on back. Once again, this is a US printed standard mono cover which could easily be swapped out for a higher grade one from a US LP. The disc is a clean VG+ with some surface scuffing that doesn't affect playback, and like most 60's originals, this copy plays great.
We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We regularly receive praise for our grading, but as all grading is subjective, we are happy to give a full refund for anything you aren't happy with no questions asked.
Unlike some eBay sellers, we don't feel the need to hype records by including long reviews or albums, quoting lyrics, making up arcane variations. We just grade accurately, describe any flaw, and sell only high quality rare records in fine condition.
