Hard to find copies that play this well!..


More Early Stones stuff listed so have a look..


Here is a brief summary...Their classic third album with the date mis-printed on the back as "965" (Should be "1965"!)....Plays GREAT..,Sleeve VG...Full details below...


Issued in September 1965 on the Decca label...LK 4661...UK Mono pressing in a front laminated lightweight Clout And Baker sleeve with top and bottom flipbacks complete with polylined Decca inner sleeve..(To my mind,the flipback sleeves are more elusive than those without flipbacks)...The labels show the KT tax code (As do the run out grooves)...The mothers and stampers are 1HK and 2CU...The matrix numbers are 11B/12A...


Side B has a small but visible hairline (See picture)...Strong light will probably reveal some paper scuffs and light hairlines...There are no nasty or dangerous marks and both sides still have a reasonable sheen...


As with all my records,I play them all the way through with a Shure cart tracking at 2G...You need to know exactly what you are getting and I am not going to guess how it sounds by a quick glance!...


This plays really well and the scuff has no affect on play..In fact,I noted no defects to the sound quality!!!...No clicks or pops ...It doesn't stick or jump...It's not dished and has no edge warps...Fantastic sound quality as well!..


The labels are undamaged but there are visible spindle trails so it has had regular (but careful play)....


The front laminated sleeve has a few defects....Very light ringwear to the front...Light stress lines around the front edges...The sleeve is not flat,it's slightly bowed (see pic from the spine view)...The non laminated back has a little age yellowing to the white and the top and bottom spine areas have wear through the top layer of card (Some of the sleeve manufacturer credit is not visible)...No rips,tears,sellotape,scribble or seam splits..A few laminate creases and a few stress marks around the edges...


The Decca inner sleeve has visible creasing....
