TO BE CLEAR HERE IS MY NEAR MINT DEFINITION: I have taken the utmost care of these records and evaluated (GRADED) all of my records under a high intensity lamp. If the record looks perfect I will label it near mint. There may be some slight markings (not dimples) around the spindle hole but if any scratches on the record are noticed I will use a lower grading and mention it in the listing. Invisible dirt or defects that can or cannot be removed by a professional record cleaner are beyond my control. I have seen very few records that are perfect, but the ones I label near mint are as close as I have seen.

In the late 1970s I had become disappointed with the quality of the available vinyl in the US.

In Japan at the time they had strict vinyl purity laws as well as how many records you could press from a master. Therefore the quality of records coming from Japan at that time we're much more consistent, quieter and much higher quality. The album covers and included accessories are also exactly as the artist had intended and not the cheap versions that were sold in later years.

These records were made before ones and zero’s, re-mastering and in my opinion are the finest examples of the artist’s work in its purest analog form in existence at any price.

My goal was to obtain collections at that quality level of my favorite artists, these are those collections. These records were all purchased from Rolling Stone records just outside Chicago Illinois. My friend the store manager would let me exchange the album up to three times till I had the cleanest copy. These records in most cases have only been played approximately 3 to 5 times, first to record to cassette, second to record to CD, in some cases never again and in a few cases just to hear it. I will not tell you every record in my collection is absolutely perfect but I will tell you that I have kept them stored vertically in wooden wine boxes and plastic inner and outer sleeves, in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The greatest care has been taken when handling them and storing them as they are truly one of my most prized possessions.
