Description

ROLLING STONES ''THEIR SATANIC MAJESTEIS REQUEST'' UNBOXED DECCA LABELS!!   ((STEREO))   MEGA RARE! 1ST UK PRESSING  LOOKS AND SOUNDS BARELY PLAYED  SOUNDS AWESOME ON MY SYSTEM ! GREAT COLLECTABLE AND EXTREEMELY ENJOYABLE 5K AND 5K MATRIX! ORIGINAL ROBERT STACE 3D GATEFOLD psychadelic COVER VERY NEAR MINT! SUPERBE!!

''1'' to ''1'' MOTHER STAMPERS (The earliest ever produce the best audio quality)!

Here on offer from my personal collection! This album was  from a very large collection that I purchased over 25 years ago that belonged to 'The BBC Gramophone Library' A fantastic collection of all mainly, the earliest 1st issues that were sent by the manufaturers to the BBC for promotion for air play on the radio!  Mega rare to find (stereo) original, and looks and sounds absolutely stunning. This is the 1st UK (stereo) pressing! 1967!  Rarest ever ''1'' to ''1'' mother stampers (from my experience the earliest stampers provide the best audio quality available on vinyl) look ''1'' 'K'' and ''1'' ''KM'' Very Very early indeed! The audio is extreemely cristal clear and vibrant throughout and graded at  least excellent plus to near perfect on both sides! Amaizingly (no) distortion or signs that this has been overplayed and (no) loud clicks or pops  that i heard!! In my opinion due to the fact that there are just a minimal amount of spider marks and that the audio is clear that this has not been overplayed at all! The original 3d Robert Stace gatefold  coveris in exceptional condition in fact very near perfect super glossy laminate without creases. This is complete with the original psychadelic inner record sleeve without creases, splits or tares! A small scuff mark on the label of side 1 is the only thing to note that would have been caused by a sticker removal but for any avid Rolling Stones audiophiles out there this is probably the best sounding stereo vinyls that I have heard of this pressing, normally found played to death. There are no loud clicks or pops and importantly no distortion what so ever!

Their Satanic Majesties Request is a psychedelic rock album by The Rolling Stones recorded and released in 1967. Its title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires..." text that appears inside a British passport!!

Without a doubt, no Rolling Stones album — and, indeed, very few rock albums from any era — split critical opinion as much as the Rolling Stones' psychedelic outing.

Many dismiss the record as sub-Sgt. Pepper posturing; others confess, if only in private, to a fascination with the album's inventive arrangements, which incorporated some African rhythms, Mellotrons, and full orchestration!.

Never before or since did the Stones take so many chances in the studio!!  It's a much better record than most people give it credit for being, though, with a strong current of creeping uneasiness that undercuts the gaudy psychedelic flourishes. In 1968, the Stones would go back to the basics, and never wander down these paths again, making this all the more of a fascinating anomaly in the group's discography.!!!

Begun just after Between the Buttons had been released, the recording of Their Satanic Majesties Request was long and sporadic, broken up by court appearances and jail terms. Starting with this release, non-compilation albums from the band would be released in uniform editions across international markets.!.

The vinyl

This is of coarse the thick heavy type of vinyl only found on the earliest 1st pressings! The vinyl retains its original sheen from new and lies perfectly flat on the turntable and looks extreemely clean for 41 years old indeed! In strong light when closely scrutinised, I can just barely see one or two surface marks/scuffs, which has just very minimal if no effect, barely noticable on my systems unless listened for at very loud volume, importantly there are no deep needle scratches that would cause any loud clicks or pops! Very rare to find like this indeed!

 The Audio Quality

Carefully play tested four times prior to listing!

Amaizingly after very carefully listening and playing to this vinyl through, track for track at very loud volume on a top system, I found this audio quite awesome through out! Absolutely stunning seperation and a real deep bassey feel through out! Very minimal isolated static crackle\tick to mention that may be noticed  in very few isolated quiet places only and may be contributed to needing a clean before each play, because this vinyl has been stored laying dormant for over 25 years, importantly  There was no signs of distortion and certainly no skips or jumps, cristal clear and very vibrant throughout! In my personal opinion there was nothing  intrusive as to spoil the overall awesome experiance of the play of this vinyl ! Please note these are often played to death and suffer from major grooveware but not this one, no grooveware at all and in my opinion this looks and plays like it has only ever been played a minimal amount of times ever, this has certainly never been played in the last 25 years since listing this album! I would grade the audio at least excellent plus in my opinion near mint for the most part!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given my honest opinion as usual when describing the audio quality. I heard no  problems Please allow for the odd isolated static\tick ! Please remember that this is an original 41 year old vinyl that has been played and would have originally been played on a 41 year old system and would benefit from a clean before each play!!

Points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 40 years! From my experiance this vinyl would benefit from a constant clean before each play! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves over a period of laying dormant, produces static crackle\ticks and constant cleaning reduces this static and subsequently enhances the audio quality!

The labels!

Feature the earliest 1st press (UNBOXED DECCA LABELS) With the familier Decca groove! In awesome condition  spider marks can be seen angled to the light, (This has not been overplayed in my opinion) little if (no) spindleware the hole is perfetly round!

The record sleeve

This is the original psychadelic record sleeve no splits or tares light creasing with age only. Please note this is always stored seperately from the vinyl for protection!

The Cover!

This is the original 1st press (STEREO ROBERT STACE PRINTED) gatefold cover. These originals are made of very thick card and feature the original thick perspex 3d image at the front! please note this is the original and carries the STEREO catalogue number at the spine and at the rear (only 1st uk press) very rare to find like this no real splits or tares and importantly no real creases to mention! laminated at the front and rear!! internaly this is superbe, clean without and nasty handwriting or names written! Hard to find like this! Any marks or indents you relly would have to look for to notice! I would grade the cover at least excellent plus!(see photos)
