PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
WILDLY RARE original Ted Jensen mastered PRC Recording Company (Richmond, IN) first pressing from June of 1978 on Rolling Stones Records with die-cut Valmor ad cover, original circular Miss You hype sticker on the cellophane in the top left hand corner on the front cover, RI matrix at the bottom of the label, uncensored inner sleeve with all five celebrity images and ascending green/yellow/blue/pink color pattern on the front cover!!! For the uninitiated, this inner sleeve was withdrawn shortly after release as The Stones did not get permission to use the images of Farrah Fawcet, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Raquel Welch and Marilyn Monroe or the use of Valmor's wig advertisement and were threatened with a lawsuit. The celebrity images were immediately replaced with solid colors and the text PARDON OUR APPEARANCE - COVER UNDER CONSTRUCTION. What makes this particular copy a million times more unique is the fact that the original punch-out tab for the model that, ironically, displays Lucille Ball's image in the top row is STILL INTACT! I have had well over 200 copies of this LP pass through my hands in my 45 years of collecting and selling and I have never seen any of these face tabs intact. THAT'S how you know it's rare. LP is a beautiful near mint minus. Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and beautiful as well. Even has the original $6.99 Musicland (R.I.P.) price label on the cellophane in the top left hand corner on the front cover. An absolute high grade withdrawn first pressing with an uncensored cover and original face tab intact with impeccable provenance. THIS is what collecting is about Stones collectors. Don't sleep. If you've never seen it before you won't see it again.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
