From my own personal collection I am pleased to offer a highly collectable audiophile pressing of the iconic album by THE ROLLING STONES titled “STICKY FINGERS”, Catalogue Number MFSL 1-060. Issued in Limited Numbers in 1981, this is a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Half-Speed Master pressing, cut from the original stereo master tape. These were specially plated and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl by Victor Company of Japan Ltd. It comes with Special Static-Free - Dust-Free Inner Sleeve & Special Heavy Duty Protective Packaging, and includes the original Picture/Credits Insert and the Certificate of Limited Warranty.
The thick card single sleeve, printed in U.S.A., is in EX condition with only very light wear and a virtually no creasing. The front and back covers are unmarked and the spine is square and solid with perfect text.
The top quality MFSL record is in EX+ condition. It’s a nice mid-weight pressing which sits perfectly flat on the turntable. It is clear that the record has only received a few careful plays. The labels are like new with no obvious spindle traces. There is no wear to the spindle hole. The sound quality of these audiophile pressings is quite exceptional - with wonderful detail and tone and barely any unwanted residual surface sound at all (unlike the original 1971 Rolling Stones Records pressings). Both sides of this cherished vinyl play essentially as new. Lead-in and linking grooves play with near silence and there is virtually no unwanted noise at all. With the exception of a few light tics in the gap between Tracks 1 and 2 of Side 2 the audio playback is faultless. I think that it will be almost impossible to find another MFSL copy of this standard.
The Protective Packaging Insert, the Picture/Credits Insert, the Certificate of Limited Warranty and the Static-Free Inner Sleeve are all in unmarked EX+ condition.
Overall this is a beautiful and complete MFSL copy which will grace any record collection.
GRADINGS
The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega P5 turntable fitted with an Elys 2 cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. My gradings are strict and in accordance with the following descriptions:
· MINT- Record is superb, almost like new, with just a few sleeve removal type surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve is near perfect in all respects.
· EX Record is a top quality example, with just a few very light surface marks which do not sound, and barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve has slight wear and/or creasing.
· VG Record has some visual surface marks, but still plays to a high standard without any major deterioration in sound quality – just a few clicks or light surface sound in places. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects but is still very presentable.
PACKAGING
LPs are packaged with care and well protected to ensure that they arrive safely in the same condition as they leave me. Records are removed from both inner and outer sleeves in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.
