UK Rolling Stones Label Cat No COC59100
'Zipper' Sleeve with Picture Insert
The Run-Out Groove (Dead Wax) on Side 1 bears the Matrix No COC59100 A4 plus 'T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS', hand-written. On Side 2 the Matrix No. is COC59100 B3 plus 'T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS, hand-written'.
The Vinyl is clean and shiny with one discernible blemish at the start of Track 4 on Side 2. This is not significant and does not affect play. On Side 1, there is a small and unusual indentation to the surface of the vinyl. This occurs near the start of Track 4 on Side 1. Again, it does not affect play and it is small , almost imperceptible, but nevertheless evident so I mention it here.
Overall, the Vinyl is in in tiptop condition and plays perfectly on a good-quality deck using an arm tracking at 1 gram. I would rate the Vinyl as EX- taking into account the slight peculiarities mentioned above. It would probably qualify for EX/EX+ otherwise.
The label is the usual yellow and is free of stickers or writing. There is little if any evidence of spindleware.
It comes in a plain white innersleeve. This is in Excellent Plus condition with no tears or splits and only the smallest of creases.
The outer sleeve is clean, free of any tears or splits, no writing, major blemishes or fraying. This is the famous 'zipper' sleeve. The Zipper works perfectly, there is no rusting to the metal and furthermore, there is none of the damage to the sleeve often found either in the vicinity of the zipper or elsewhere. This copy looks about as perfect as it is possible to get.
The original Insert showing a black-and-white photo of the five guys on one side and the text and 'lips' logo on the other is present and it is in perfect condition with no dog-ears, tears, blemishes or writing anywhere. I would rate the condition of the Sleeve and Insert combined as EX+ using the Record Collector Guide to Condition Rating.
