Description
Offered here is THE ROLLING STONES "Some Girls" 1978 Rare PROMO 1st Press Banned Die Cut Cover COC-39108. This is the original cover, with photographs of Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Jayne Mansfield, Britt Ekland, Farrah Fawcett, and Racquel Welch included on the record's withdrawn cardboard inner sleeve. Production of the original inner sleeve, that makes the cover complete was halted, as permission to use the photographs of the famous female stars was never given. Note: The attached timing label that was used only on albums sent to radio stations, as a Promo. In the past Rolling Stones Promos had white labels on the Vinyl. We assume, that the Promo Sticker was added, instead of the white label to speed up the process geting the LP to DJ's. There is a White Round "MISS YOU" Sticker on cover also. Special Note: This is a 'Sterling' mastered pressing, as stamped STERLING in the Deadwax. The LP cover is in Excellent condition, however, part of the glue has failed-see last photo. The Vinyl appears to have had little or no play, and we grade it Near Mint/Mint. The all important cardboard photo inner sleeve is also in Near Mint/Mint Condition. Shipping note: We remove album from sleeve, and place in a separate plastic sleeve, so the album cover is not dinged during shipping. Plus, we use standard LP mailing boxes, with extra interior bubble wrap to prevent movement or damage during shipment. We will combine orders to save you money on Shipping and Handling. Please inquire.
