THE ROLLING STONES Sticky Fingers (EMI Electrola 1C 064-63 152) Germany 1979 w/Zipper MINT!
RARE early Dutch-German re-issue of the Rolling Stones album, "Sticky Fingers" on EMI Electrola Records. Originally released in April 1971, this specific issue is from 1979. While the album cover was made in Germany, the vinyl for the 1979 issues was pressed in Holland.
"Pieced together from outtakes and much-labored-over songs, Sticky Fingers has a loose, ramshackle ambience that belies both its origins and the dark undercurrents of the songs. It's a weary, drug-laden album -- well over half the songs explicitly mention drug use, while the others merely allude to it -- that never fades away, but barely keeps afloat." - Steven Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.com
GRADING:MINT- COVER, with fully operable metal zipper. Please see photos for details.
- Minor zipper imprint on back cover. Obviously, this copy of "Sticky Fingers" was originally stored with other copies of the album.
- Very slight wear to corner (at bottom right).
- Includes the original insert sheet in near-perfect MINT- condition.
MINT- RECORD, played two or three times at most. In near-perfect condition!
- A few of the very lightest hairlines, from sleeve removal only.
- One or two near-invisible spindle lines to each label side.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "064-63 152-A" and "064-63 152-B".
- This copy of "Sticky Fingers" is certified to be an early Dutch-German re-issue from 1979.
- In truly MINT- condition, this copy of "Sticky Fingers" comes from my personal collection. I own two copies now, so one can go!
