Description

The ROLLING STONES - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST

Brilliant condition copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Rolling Stones classic with simply superb stereo audio quality.

Year/Label : 1967 UK Decca
Label number : STEREO TXS 103
Matrix numbers : ZAL-8126-T2-6K  /  ZAL-8127-T2-7K  with the KT tax code stamped on each side
Stampers :  1 CD  /  1 KC
A solid excellent (EX) condition jet black sheen vinyl with just a few small and extremely faint paper scuff marks/lines and very light wispy hairlines on each side (slightly more prevalent on side 1), each only really detectable with close inspection under a bright light - nothing feelable or below the surface and all purely superficial, as borne out by the superb stereo sound quality. Clean, crisp unboxed Decca labels with early pressing circular groove on each and silver writing upon green background - virtually unmarked apart from a few very fine spindle trails adjacent to the centre whole on each side.  Laminated excellent (EX) condition Robert Stace 1st press outer sleeve complete with the iconic lenticular/3D photo on the front side. All edges are devoid of any scuffing, the corners remain near perfectly defined right angles with minimal rubbing on each, and all colours, text, and the iconic art work remain vibrant with perfect definition. There are a few non-obvious tiny bumps on the reverse side bottom edge, just the hint of some very minor edge fraying on the top edge adjacent to the top right corner, and a very faint 9cm scuff line on the lenticular picture which is only visible when the front cover is viewed at the right angle in a good light....each very minor. Excellent plus (EX+) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. Great tone with crystal clear vocals and instrumentation and every track remaining timeless and a great listen. Comes with original red and white psychedelic inner sleeve with no seam splits but there is some creasing towards the bottom two corners and some fraying and tears towards the top edges (see photos).
 Eminently presentable with minor blemishes only, and the great stereo sound quality upon the gleaming 1st press vinyl makes this copy highly collectable.   POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;

for continental Europe £13 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £19 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
