Description

"Their Satanic Majesties Request"
A Classic Vinyl Album by the Rolling Stones that could be described as the Rolling Stones venturing into the more psychedelic genre - obviously being influenced by the Beatles.

Date: 1967

Catalogue No: TXL 103 (Mono)

Matrix Numbers : ARL-8126-IP (Side 1), ARL-8127-PI

Vinyl is having a great resurgence in popularity – whereelse can you get great art, sleeve notes and lots of nerdy details about themusic on the album – a fantastic musical package. Even if you have the CD or adigital-download, the Vinyl LP, as the original sound recording, is a great accompanimentand completes the experience.

So why am I selling? Well, I’ve owned the album for over 45 yearsand it is from my personal collection that I’m slowlyselling off (I am not a dealer). It’s time it went to new ownership for somebody else to take onthe joy of owning and appreciating.

Condition:

I bought this album in 1968 and it is graded visually as VERY GOOD* as described by the Record Collector Rare Record Guide Grading System (See below).

* Except for Track 4 (side 2). Here the sound jumps on Track 4 (Side 2) "2000 Light Years From Home". This might be cured by a heavier weight on the needle but I've never applied this solution.

The cover is also in very good condition with some slight wear on the corners

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marksor deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as thelyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised asSealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but thereis very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might haveslight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displaysno major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks andthe occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality hasnoticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. Thecover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared forproperly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surfacenoise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of useas a collection-filler.

There is a small personal label attached to the rear of theLP cover (see photo). It’s possible this can easily be removed with care.
