Description

THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE LP BY THE ROLLING STONES ENTITLED "BETWEEN THE BUTTONS" RELEASED ON DECCA RECORDS IN THE UK IN 1967 CAT NO SKL 4852. THIS IS A SUPERB RARE FIRST PRESS IN STEREO WITH MATRIX NUMBERS OF XZAL 7644-5A AND XZAL 7645 6-K AND EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS OF 1G AND 1OH. THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD IS SUPERB THROUGHOUT.

THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH A LOVELY DEEP SHEEN.  THERE ARE A COUPLE OF VERY LIGHT WHISPY SUPERFICIAL MARKS BUT THESE HAVE NO IMPACT ON THE AUDIO WHATSOEVER. THE CONDITION OF THE VINYL IS REFLECTED IN THE AUDIO. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE LP AT GREAT VOLUME AND OVERALL IT WAS A SUPERB LISTEN. THE LP PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPS OR JUMPS. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE BUT I  WOULD GRADE THE AUDIO AS EXCELLENT+.

THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION IF NOT BETTER.

THE  JAMES UPTON SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE ARE A FEW SIGNS OF AGING TO THE REAR AND A SMALL AREA OF TRANSPARENT TAPE ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER [THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS] BUT FOR A SLEEVE THAT IS 44 YEARS OLD I AM HAPPY TO GRADE AS EXCELLENT. THE PINCHED SPINE IS FULLY INTACT AND READABLE.

OVERALL A SUPERB COPY OF THIS VERY RARE LP.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of  £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
