Description
RONNIE SELF : (4 song EP) 1959 Brazil / Columbia 56002 7"/45RPM mono. Side-1. "Date Bait" / "Petrified" - Side-2. "You're So Right For Me" / "Big Blon Baby". What can I say, not one of the rarest original pressing out of US of this great Singer-Songwriter-Performer-Dynamic Rocker and legend of the Rockabilly. Sleeve has a bit of age wear, back shows a bit soiling and soft ringwear (it's beige/wood tonality and unlaminated), small crease on the top left corner and small tear on the bottom left corner but still hold nice shape and solid structure and no major creases. There is no writings on the cover, nor splits or rips, but has slight seam wear. There is a small mark of removed scotch tape on the bottom (look at the photos... can you see it?) as a result, the sleeve as a whole gets a decent VG+ grade. Vinyl is in an incredible VG++ condition, visually with beautiful shine without scratches or major marks on the surface of the disc and nor signs of weighed needle on the tracks! I have played this 7" two times and both sides play loud and clear without crackles or pops, just a very soft background wear, but this is original from this record. The labels are clean there is no writing or stickers on either. All in all this is still amazing condition for 45 years old record from Brazil. Have a look at the photos below. Grading is strict and not on the "Brazilian Standard" as you probably know... I never put reserves in my auctions, but I was tempted to with this one due the excellent condition of the vinyl, so a reasonable reserve has been set on this rare ROCKIN RONNIE
