Description
For auction is the ROOSEVELT WARDELL TRIO's "The Revelation" on Riverside RLP 350, MONO, DG, 1960. With Sam Jones and Louis Hayes.
SOUND: VG
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, a great listen, with the only caveat the presence of a repeating "tick" for a while (60 seconds) on B1 "Elijah Is Here." Not terrible. Beyond that, the record has intermittent soft surface noise/static here and there. Mainly audible during much softer passages. Doesn't interfere with the music in any substantive way. Overall, still very much enjoyable.
VINYL: VG
Visually, the vinyl looks pretty good. There are routine marks or scuffs here or there, but nothing that looks deep. On blue "mike-and-reel" labels with deep grooves.
COVER: VG+
The cover is very nice. Bottom edge has 1-inch split in center, and 1-inch on far right. Top has 2-inch split on far right. Spine is solid with minimal wear. Corners have slight softening. Front cover is clean with minimal wear. the back also very clean with little wear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A nice record, sounds good! No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
