"ROOTS" CUBAN PIECES BY 1950's ORCHESTRAS
WITH A CASTRIST PROPAGANDA TEXT ON BACK (IN FRENCH): "For us Cuba has for synonyms: songs, dances, feasts, revolution… before all because Cuba is different by its music, of the rest of Latin America. Its songs call the hope of the Black people, not the resignation of the Indian". "Our revolution is a cuban revolution ; it is as cuban as our music. Can we conceive all the peoples listening to the same music ?" Fidel Castro.
Recorded in Cuba by Claude Jannel (Uher recorder).
SIX "ROOTS" CUBAN TRACKS, PROBABLY RECORDED "LIVE IN STUDIO" AS DESCARGAS, HOT PLAYING AND HIGHLY DYNAMIC SOUND !
SLEEVE CONDITION: VG++ (only tiny defects and light rust spots)
RECORD CONDITION : VG++ (barely played, few light scuffs only ; has some light wax presence, also the surface is locally "cloudy", the two things from wax quality ; very nice listening /// as this is a private production, probably you can hardly find a better copy !)
