Description
Shows made in France and is a special ‘Porky Cut’ Europe release from 1990. Runouts confirm mastered by Porky and has hand etched ‘Now that’s what I call Music Porky’ and “A Porky Prime Cut’. George Peckham British lacquer-cutting and mastering engineer, better known as "Porky" (as in "a Porky prime cut"). Released in many pressings in many countries but this looks like the only ‘Porky Prime Cut’ issue.
Fresh Evidence is Rory Gallagher's last studio album released 1990. The album was unusual in that Gallagher used more additional musicians and spent more time recording than he normally did. Not as unusual, the songs show his love for blues artists such as Robert Johnson and Son House and for other genres such as Zydeco as well. The album explores themes of ill health, mortality, and fighting back against overwhelming odds. It shows the toll that Gallagher's health problems were starting to take on him.
Vinyl Grade: EX, lovely high gloss, a couple of faint trace/hairlines only. Note – side 2 plays with a small edge wobble that does not affect playing at all.
Sound Quality: EX, plays with no noticeable surface noise, no pops/clicks/ticks, fully play tested and sounds great.
Cover: EX, excellent gatefold cover, flat, no damage, no edge wear, includes inner picture sleeve.
Records graded directly under very bright table light for the visual grade. Sound quality checked by playing to ensure that visual grade and sound quality are consistent.
Mint M and Near Mint NM: Looks perfect as new. N and NM is only appropriate for new reissue records and not for vintage vinyl that has been played, regardless of how perfect it may look.
Excellent Plus +EX: Lovely gloss, no visible scratches, scuffs or marks. Has been played but has been handled well and still in great condition. (highest grade that I use for vintage vinyl)
Excellent EX: Lovely gloss, shows some slight signs of wear, including light trace/hairlines from the inner sleeve, light scuffs or very light marks that you would not expect to hear as surface noise.
Very Good Plus +VG: Shows a few more very light marks than is allowable for EX so not quite EX. These signs of use would be expected to cause some light surface noise but not to detract from the music.
Very Good VG: Shows light scratches and marks and some that you would expect to cause surface noise, especially in soft passages, between tracks and during a song?s intro and ending but not so much as to overpower the music which can still be enjoyed.
Very Good Minus -VG: Shows significant wear and marks that you would expect to cause noticeable surface noise that detracts from the music.
Good G: In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records lacking much of the original gloss and with many scratches and marks that you would expect to cause very noticeable surface noise and clicks/pops that seriously detract from enjoyment of the music.
Postage: I package very very well and only charge the actual Aust Post cost. International post currently not available because of the delays with sending parcels overseas.
Pleased to combine posting: 1 record is $8.95, 2 or 3 records is $12.20, 4 records to about 9 records is $15.35.
