Rose, now based between LA and Seoul, takes a sharp left turn from the polished but collectively stifling choreography of Blackpink with Rosie, her debut solo LP. Written and co-produced with a diamond encrusted crew - Bruno Mars, Carter Lang and Omer Fedi - the 12-track LP digs into pop-punk, alternative pop and shimmering 90s-style r&b, while circling themes of heartbreak, scrutiny and early-twenties uncertainty. Opener 'Number One Girl' sets the tone with a bare piano arrangement, before '3am', 'Apt.' and 'Drinks Or Coffee' switch gears into slicker synthpop, trap-infused grooves and melodic bursts. Born out of writing sessions in LA following Blackpink's Born Pink tour, the album has already emeged an unexpected hit, especially spawning the chart-topping 'Apt.' with Mars.
