ROXY MUSIC - COUNTRY LIFE RARE ORIG COVER LP - VG+/EXC

This is one of a series of rare or sealed LPs and EPs that I will be listing over the next several weeks and months.  

This item is an original pressing of the vinyl LP entitled Country Life by Roxy Music, released in 1974 on Atco Records.  While we may think that we now live in a politically-correct world on steroids – where even the blandest and most innocuous comment can be perceived to have improper connotations – we have actually lived in such a world for a long time.  I present to you exhibit A –Country Life album.  Long before Amorica (Black Crowes) and The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (Roger Waters), there was Roxy Music.  Their covers always featured beautiful women, but it was this album cover in its original form over thirty years ago that resulted in one of the first edited rock LP covers ever.  On this particular pressing, the two young ladies remain prominent (the edited cover removed them).  This pressing also features the classic yellow Atco Records label and does not have the barcode on the back cover.  However, the music remains excellent as always (I love Phil Manzanera’s guitar playing and Ferry on vocals). 

Both the vinyl and the cover are in VG+ to excellent condition, with only very mild cover wear as shown in the photo. 

I do not use stock photos.  The photo shows the actual item up for auction. 

I am not a dealer, and all of the items I place up for auction are from my personal collection gathered over the past forty years (education expenses – and soon-to-be college expenses -- are the reason I am selling my collection...). 

Shipping and handling is determined by weight and is per record, not per title.  The shipping costs are as follows: $4.00 for one record via media mail to anywhere in the U.S.   Each additional record is an additional $0.40 for media mail shipping.  Priority shipping within the U.S. is a function of weight and postal zone, and I will e-mail an invoice indicating the cost of priority (I can also provide this info while the auction is pending, if you e-mail me your zip code and the number of records). 

Insurance through the USPS is available, and once again my invoice will provide the cost information. 

 NOTE – there is no tracking of packages through the USPS without delivery confirmation.  If you would like tracking ability, you must purchase delivery confirmation for $0.75.

International Buyers – Please Note:

·         Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

·         Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

·         These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

·         We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

If you are outside the US, the two basic types of shipping are 1st Class International (less expensive) and Priority International (more costly but slightly faster).  The cost depends upon the weight and the country of destination.  I will provide the cost for each option in my post-auction invoice (and, again, I can provide the info during the auction, if you e-mail me your zip code and the number of records). 

NOTE – there is no tracking of packages through the USPS unless it is specifically purchased through the USPS.  If you want tracking, please let me know and I will provide the cost for that service. 

I will always combine items, so that your shipping costs will be more manageable.  Payment must be made by paypal as per recent rules imposed by eBay.  If I do not receive payment for an item within fifteen (15) days of the end of the auction andr I do not hear from you in response to e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.
