Description

This is a VERY RARE EDITION of a late 1970's import (German) LP with silk-screened front and back covers. Cover is VG+ to VG++ (light bends and wear) and the record is Near Mint! (nice quiet vinyl, a TOP play copy!). It says it is limited to 500 copies but it is not numbered.  I've included the track listing from Hot Wacks XV for this release (side 2 actually has four songs ending with "When you Were Young"). The first track with John Cale and Brian Eno is arguably the best version available of "Fear Is A Man's Best Friend" (not a Roxy Music release but awesome nonetheless). The reason this is a rare copy because it has two covers printed on the front! It has the original "... When You Were Young" printing on the front and the record has the original labels and matrix numbers machine stamped on it ("A-6607, B-1/815"). The new cover is slik-screened over the old ELI Records cover. Also the color on the front is darker than subsequent printings (in which the covers are pasted on a blank jacket) and the back is a completely different color. This may be a one-of-a-kind printing of this cover transitioning between the two versions of this already rare record. Also the recording is as stated, SUPERB!, as is the material included. I've had both versions of this record before but never one like this. This is a seminal piece in any Roxy Music/Eno collection. Good Luck!
