·       The bidders should note that this is a rare Bob Ludwig-mastered “hot pressing” of this album, with his initials “RL” (Robert Ludwig) etched in the trail-off vinyl of the disc. All the wonderful elements of Bob Ludwig’s trademark mastering style are here: incredible clarity and balanced channel separation, vivid and spacious “ambience” sound, as well as wide dynamic and frequency range of the sound spectrum.  As is almost always the case with Bob Ludwig’s masterings, the Bob Ludwig-mastered pressings of this album are CONSIDERABLY rarer than the regular, non-Ludwig copies of this album.

These days phrase "White Blues" is just another oxymoron - an endless string of nondescript, underinspired, underexperienced, undergratified (or, maybe: self-gratified), well-fed-and-bred white suburban kids masquerading as blues "artists", making cameo appearances at the "House of the Blues" venues (roll over, Muddy, wherever you are), emulating - unsuccessfully - Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan by doing 15-minute "blues" guitar solo extravaganzas to the beat of the drum-machine-like rhythm sections, to the point where the listener must either slash his wrists in utter despondency or at least start pulling his hair out…but it wasn't always like this: take Roy Buchanan, for example: Roy Buchanan was one of the finest white blues players ever, with the uncanny sense of precision, melody, timing and measure, and his tragic and untimely demise was one of those dark moments of Rock'n'Roll's history. Thankfully, we still have the music, and the blues hardly ever gets better than this. If you do not like this album - generally considered to be his shining moment and his best and most enduring work - you get to have your money back. We will be delighted to keep the record in our collection.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
