Notes: Borrowed text: "RUDY TYSON - "Every Night (Piano Solo)" in stereo on (Not on Label) DS 6325. Born in Greenville, NC, he started playing piano at the age of 11. Studied piano under jazz pianist Mary Lou Williams and followed her to New York when Williams studied advanced improvisation under Ernie Wilkins. During this time, Tyson supported himself by playing solo gigs in and around Greenwich Village, including the Village Gate.

Tyson returned to North Carolina in 1981 and this album was recorded at Twin Oaks, Inc. in Rocky Point, NC. The 8 tracks are Somewhere Over the Rainbow; Elnora; If You Only Believe; Yesterdays; Sophisticated Lady; Frankie and Johnny; Viola; and The Theme."
