Description

RUGGIERIO RICCI 'SONATAS FOR SOLO VIOLIN' 1960 STEREO LP.

Really nice copy of this quite rare LP.

Sorry, but no buy it now.

Pressed in the UK and released on Decca SXL 2240.

Wide band grooved label 'ED1' with 'Original Recording by..........The Decca Record Company'

Matrix numbers are:

Side 1: ZAL-4836-1E   1     U.

Side 2: ZAL-4837-1E    1     H [might be an 'M']

Side 1:

1. BARTOK: Sonata for Solo Violin.

2. PROKOFIEV: Sonata for Violin Solo, op. 115.

Side 2:

1. HINDEMITH: Sonata for Violin Solo, op. 31, no. 1.

2. HINDEMITH: Sonata for Violin Solo, op. 31, no. 2.

Play grades as EX or better throughout.

Looks rarely played and appears unmarked when tilted under normal lighting and under strong halogen lights.

There are a couple of spider lines near the side 1 spindle hole and I couldn't see any near the side 2 hole so this has probably had only a few plays.

Front laminated sleeve grades as EX.

Has a small label in the front, top left corner.

Correct inner sleeve grades as EX.

A really nice example but has a little creasing in the corners.

Will be shipped in a 'pizza' style box with card stiffeners and bubble wrap for protection.

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
