Condition: The condition is accurately described as below:
Gatefold outer sleeve: this is in a gatefold sleeve and pressed in the early eighties post the commercial 1980 breakthrough album 'Permanent Waves', and overall I grade this sleeve harshly as VERY GOOD PLUS condition in line with Record Collector grading model. Minimal wear and rubbing to the front panel, and minimal creasing and moderate rubbing to the rear panel is evident, with very minor creasing and marks. The spine has moderate wear and 'cracking' in the surface card finish, but no splits, or tears, with a tiny 'rip' in the 'mercury' wording on the spine.
Inner sleeve: delicate paper sleeve is in minimum EXCELLENT condition, with some pen on the top right hand rear of panel '3/3/83', suggesting that this copy was purchased in 1983. Further evidence of this copy being an early eighties copy is the campaign 'Home Taping Is Killing Music', which was very much the theme of the day pre-2020 and the prevalence of music streaming sites....
Vinyl record: This is a thin, single disk vinyl album with the correct dark blue 'Mercury' labelling. The vinyl’s plays flat with only very minimal warping. The labels are in stunning EXCELLENT (+) condition! Minimal handling and potentially one or two plays only. Vinyl surfaces match the label grading, with deep shine, and minimal if any marks. No scratches, scuffs and minimal if any hairlines! I have played this superb pressing all the way through. and on my Rega 6 system is played with no pops, jumps and minimal if any background noise and static!! Superb copy and one that I have no hesitation in overall grading EXCELLENT condition!
