VG: Visible muffs, scratches and possible skips. Playable, but likely popping and background noise
VG+: Some visible wear, some light surface noise likely. Inadvertent pops or hisses. Playable and likely a good listening experience
VG++: Visibly clean with very few to no scuffs, mars or scratches. Likely plays clean
NM-: Very clean visibily and audibly with minimal surface noise
NM: Visually very clean, likely played infrequently with low background noise
