Description

This is an ORIGINAL 1980 MERCURY RECORDS FIRST PRESSING U.S. LP of the 1980 album titled 'Permanent Waves' from Geddy Lee's legendary Canadian progressive rock / metal band Rush.  It is Mercury Records U.S. catalog number SRM-1-4001.  Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original custom inner sleeve.

Cover has a blanked out newspaper headline instead of the original "Dewey Defeats Truman" and billboards contain the band members names.

Condition of record is a nice high VG++ with just one surface mark which cannot be felt and does not affect play.  Condition of cover is VG+ with some wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners.  Custom inner sleeve has splits in the middle of two of its edges which I have repaired with clear tape, a couple of small stains, and some creases and wrinkles.

This LP would be an essential addition to any Rush or progressive hard rock / metal record collection!
